Corporal Quiana Nicole Keeve Local Unsung (s)hero Making “HERstory” Our Story

Quiana Nicole Keeve is a product of Prince George’s County. She graduated from Duval High School as an honor student located in Prince George’s County. She went on to graduate from the University Maryland at College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology; the University is also located in Prince George’s County. After attending the college she worked as the Assistant Fit ness Director for several years for the Department of Agriculture that operated “three locations. The fitness served over 2,000 federal employee’s.”


With prid e in May 2005 Cpl. Keeve joined the ranks of Prince George’s County Police “Department. During Cpl. Keeve’s tenure she has had the opportunity to work in several different capacities: patrol, sexual assault detective, recruiter, gang detective, COPS officer, property and crimes against person detective, and a academy instructor. As a patrol officer Cpl. Keeve worked” the areas of its agency most active and bustling stations (District III and District I V).


Cpl. Keeve also served in a role working at our Training and Education Division and serving her “community to the fullest. Cpl. Keeve had the duties to training our citizens in regards to policing in our community. Cpl. Keeve takes great pride in serving her conununity and teaching them the do’s and do not’s of policing. Since 2016, Cpl. Keeve has graduated over 200 citizens from the program. The Citizens Police Academy has allowed her to bridge the gap between Police and Community. She has been able to create strong allies for not only for Prince George’s County Police Officers but for officers all over. She is very adamant about dispelling myths about the police department and how it operates. The union she has created between police and community has also set an atmosphere where our citizens are not afraid of the police. She was honored with a proclamation by the county council in 2017 for her outstanding work associated with the” agency’s Citizen Police Academy.


Cpl. Keeve had the honor to serve her childhood community again with the District III COPS unit for 2years. Cpl. Keeve co-lead a antibully campaign for elementary and middle school studies. Along with her co-work Cpl. Jeffe1y they taught over 200 children the importance of stop bullying and how to stop a bully. Cpl. Keeve has also made lasting relationships with the District III/Post 301 explores.


In Cpl. Keeve’s time off she sc1ves her corrununity and gives her time back with under “privileged child ren . Cpl. Keeve b1id ges the gap with the area children and the children’s parents. Due to our current med ia climate; she teaches them that all police officers are not the boogie man and are just “”human””. Cpl. Keeve is also a proud 20 year member of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden. She is a active serving member, attends regularly, attends classes and seIVes in ministry with a open and grateful heart. She is also mom to two fur- babies named Patches and” Benji.
